Zero Tolerance for Referee Abuse
Our club maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of referee abuse. Referees—many of whom are youth officials—deserve respect at all times. They play a vital role in ensuring player safety, enforcing the rules, and creating a fair and positive game environment.
Expectations for Parents and Spectators
Always treat referees with respect and courtesy, regardless of the outcome of any call or decision. Do not confront, criticize, yell at, or question referees during or after a game. Understand that referees, like players and coaches, are learning and improving their skills. Set a positive example for players by showing self-control and good sportsmanship.
Prohibited Behavior
The following actions will not be tolerated: Verbal abuse, arguing, or shouting at referees Threats, intimidation, or physical contact of any kind Negative gestures, name-calling, or mocking referee decisions Posting or sharing disrespectful comments about referees on social media
Consequences
Any parent, guardian, or spectator found in violation of this policy is subject to immediate disciplinary action, which may include: Immediate removal from the field or facility, Suspension from attending future games or practices Possible removal of their player from the club program Our referees do their very best to ensure the safety and fairness of every match. Support them by promoting respect, patience, and positivity at all times.
