U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Pathway

The Winter Haven Soccer Club is dedicated to give our volunteer coaches the resources in order to succeed on the field and build the best possible foundation for our children to grow and develop to their full potential through game-like experiences in an enjoyable environment that supports individual growth.

We want our coaches to have a growth mindset and continue their own personal development in order to provide the platform in which our players will continue to improve. In order to achieve this, we will be offering coaching education opportunities during the year to help and assist in our entire communities soccer development.

Winter Haven Soccer Club, along with U.S. Soccer are committed to providing all coaches, from beginner to advanced, with education tailored to their experiences and the needs of their players. The Coaching License Pathway consists of a series of courses designed to meet the specific needs of a coach at every step of the way. We believe education is a journey, and our goal is to provide the necessary tools, guidance, and mentorship a coach requires.

U.S. SOCCER - COACH FOR COMMUNITY
U.S. Soccer Coach for Community (C4C) Workshop - Monday, February 23, 2026 (6pm to 9pm) at AdventHealth Fieldhouse
The U.S. Soccer Federation has partnered with the Florida Youth Soccer Association to offer the free U.S. Soccer Coach For Community event held in conjunction with Winter Haven Soccer Club. This program is focused on providing coaching education resources with the goal of helping local soccer leaders create better playing environments, increase participation, and retain players and coaches. We would like to invite all our member organization leaders, coaches, teachers, parents and players (16 and older) as well as anyone else that is responsible for creating youth soccer experiences from our program.

U.S. SOCCER - GRASSROOTS LICENSE COURSES
U.S. Soccer 7v7 In-Person Grassroots License Course - Monday, August 17, 2026 (7pm to 9pm) & Saturday, August 22, 2026 (9am to 10:30am)
This U.S. Soccer Federation License Coaching Course is an entry level course for all recreational and competitive coaches that want to begin their pathway to growing their soccer knowledge and ultimately the great game of soccer. Also, for those coaches wishes to coach at the Presidents Cup level of play, it is mandated to have 2 x Grassroots In-Person Licenses and 1 x Grassroots Online License.

U.S. Soccer 9v9 In-Person Grassroots License Course - Tuesday, August 18, 2026 (7pm to 9pm) & Saturday, August 22, 2026 (11am to 1pm)
This U.S. Soccer Federation License Coaching Course is an entry level course for all recreational and competitive coaches that want to begin their pathway to growing their soccer knowledge and ultimately the great game of soccer. Also, for those coaches wishes to coach at the Presidents Cup level of play, it is mandated to have 2 x Grassroots In-Person Licenses and 1 x Grassroots Online License.

This U.S. Soccer Federation License Coaching Course is an entry level course for all recreational and competitive coaches that want to begin their pathway to growing their soccer knowledge and ultimately the great game of soccer. Also, for those coaches wishes to coach at the Presidents Cup level of play, it is mandated to have 2 x Grassroots In-Person Licenses and 1 x Grassroots Online License.

U.S. SOCCER - D LICENSE COURSES
U.S. Soccer D License Course - Starts Sunday, September 20, 2026 and ends Friday, December 4, 2026
This U.S. Soccer Federation License Coaching Course is for those coaches that wish to continue their journey towards helping grow the game and improve their players. In order to register for the D License course, you must already have 2 x Grassroots In-Person Licenses and 1 x Grassroots Online License. Also, for those coaches wishes to coach at the State Cup level of play, it is mandated to have a D License.
