The 2026 Winter Haven Soccer Club Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Last night, at the AdventHealth Fieldhouse and Conference Center, the Winter Haven Soccer Club hosted it's Annual General Meeting (AGM). The turn out was amazing with close to 200 families coming out and becoming part of the future of our community soccer club.
Joining us last night was the Orlando City and Orlando Pride Soccer Schools Technical Lead, Julio Serrano, who discussed what the partnership really means for our players, coaches and families. He is discussed all of the possibilities that every will benefit from as part of our relationship. Julio, actually joined us via the internet, since he was currently in Italy with several of the teams from the Orlando Club. A big thank you goes out to Julio since it 1 o'clock in the morning in Italy when he joined us.
Les Moore, WHSC President, gave his annual report and thanked the Board, as well as the founding members of the club that were in attendance, for their dedication over the years. Les updated everyone on the finances, the growth that we have seen over the past 12 months, and what the club can look forward to in the future. These are exciting times with opportunities for all. Les concluded, that after his 2 decades of involvement with the club that he was stepping down as Club President. He added that he was not going anywhere, and will continue to be involved with club in any capacity needed.
Our Executive Director and Director of Coaching, Mark Godwin, continued to echo Les's remarks and added that a lot of credit must be given to Les and the entire Board of Directors for their growth mindset in bringing ideas to life and building a better future for our players and the community. He added, that we are only a small part of the way in bringing the clubs vision to life, with programming that will include TOPSoccer, a program for children disabilities and special needs but also staying at the vanguard of all soccer development that will include, players, coaches, parents and much, much more.
During last nights AGM, we hosted elections for 3 positions that are available on our Board of Directors. On the Ballot were Jarod Danowit, Ken Ferrero, Cole Fredricks, Becky King (Incumbent), Allan Langford, Sharon Loschiavo, and Luis Perez. It was a very close election and after the results were checked and cleared, Jarod Danowit, Becky King (Incumbent), and Luis Perez were elected to the Board and the new members will begin their 2 year term starting on July 1st, 2026. A huge thank you goes out to our Parliamentarian, Kevin Craig, who kept things running smoothly throughout the election and to all our volunteers who helped distribute and count the ballots. We certainly would not be able to do everything we do without the help of our volunteers.
Thank you to all that came out and we hope to continue our growth and development for a better future!
