2026 Fall Recreational Registration - NOW OPEN !!
Welcome to our 2026 Fall Recreational Season Registration
Registration is now open for our 2026 Fall Recreational Soccer Season! Registration is available for players from 4U (must be 3 at time of registration) through 15U.
Winter Haven Soccer Club are also introducing a program for interested older 16U - 19U players. We will be trying to have some small-sided games (in-house) with anything from 5v5 to 9v9 (dependent on registration numbers). This opportunity to continue to exercise, develop, compete and possibly as preparation for High School soccer is at the forefront of this program.

Here is some important information on the upcoming fall season:
Costs and Fees
- Early Registration = $145 through July 19.
- Late Registration = $165 after July 19.
- Registration closes on August 15 !!
- Registration fees includes uniforms that will be 2 x Jersey's; 1 x Shorts; 1 x Socks (players would need to bring shin guards and cleats). Uniforms are good for the 2026 Fall and 2027 Spring Season.
Key Dates
- August 1 thru August 15 - Rosters begin to be formed and coaches assigned.
- August 15 - Rosters are released to coaches.
- August 17 thru August 22 - Coaching education.
- August 29 - Meet the Coach Day. Location: Simmers-Young Park.
- August 31 - First Practice Week.
- September 5-7 - Off (Labor Day Weekend)
- September 12 - Opening Day of the 2026 Fall Recreational Season with Jamboree and other FUN activities.
- November 14 - Recreational League Play Finale.
- TBD - Judges Cup (Ages 10 and Older)
Rostering and Structure
- Players will be to assigned teams that will be age and gender specific depending on numbers. If this is not possible then COED teams will be formed.
- We will try to honor any requests made in the registration portal but please understand that this is a difficult task and not always possible and will be dealt with on a first come/first serve basis.
- Regular games as per the modified age group rules. (Link to our rules can be found under the recreational soccer tab).
- Games are typically played on Saturday but is dependent on weather and other conflicts and could be made-up on another day of the week. If games are cancelled due to inclement weather, then all the coaches will be notified, and we will also post notification on our website and social media sites.
- Game format will be: 6U & 8U = 4v4; 9U & 10U = 7v7; 11U and 12U = 9v9; 13U and older = 11v11 (Age groups may be combined depending on numbers).
- Equipment & Soccer Ball Sizes
- Shin Guards (Must be covered by sock)
- Water Bottle
- 6U/8U - Size 3
- 9U/10U/11U/12U - Size 4
- 13U & Older - Size 5
- Practices will be 1 to 2 times per week (Monday thru Friday) and may start as early as 5:30pm These will be coordinated by the assigned volunteer coach.
- Winter Haven Soccer Club recommends the following practice durations:
- 6U/8U - No more than 60 minutes.
- 9U/10U - 60 minutes.
- 11U/12U - 60 minutes to 75 minutes.
- 13U & Older - 90 minutes.
- For our 9U and older teams, the Winter Haven Soccer Club participates each fall in the Polk County Recreational Soccer League which includes local clubs from within our County and will include home and away games. The league will conclude with a weekend finale known as the Judge's Cup at a variety of Club locations within Polk County.
- For players that are 8U and older there is the possibility of being selected for the Polk County Soccer League All-Stars Event which is usually held in January each year at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale.
